I don’t know about you but I’ve found that having a place for everything and having everything in its place can be absolute bliss!
But the key is How to organize life! Where do you start? How about we start with our computers…
I’ve recently discovered something Awesome that I want to share with you for organizing your computer… Because face it, these days we practically live off our computers!
So where do you begin???
First of all i keep nothing important on my laptops hard drive. I use external hard drives for everything! I have one for my photos/home videos that is about 60 gigs, and another for my Music that is about 250 gigs… the good thing about those is their small (about wallet size). I also have a small jump drive for my documents.
Next, My “Favorites” on my computer was getting out of control. So about a month ago I decided to do something about it. I have an acct. set up with Yahoo, so I signed in and took at peek at the “My Yahoo” page… AWESOME! I set up the front page with all the information that was important to me – kinda like the Front Page of my own Newspaper! I get a glimpse of what’s new in my e-mail accts, the weather, a note pad, to-do lists, and best of all MY BOOKMARKS!
“My Bookmarks” is such a life saver, it took me about a half hour to organize it into folders and paste all the info in there.
1. When I go online to do something now I don’t get distracted as easily as when I had my e-mail or Facebook set as my homepage, chances are now I will click on what I need to do!… it’s been working =)
2. A week after I did this “organizing” my computer died. Ironic isn’t it, another reason why I love womans intuition! So, Because of my externals and My Yahoo I was able to seamlessly move over to my husbands computer without missing any information or skipping a beat!
Another thing I like about My Yahoo is I can have more than one “page” so I have a second page I called “Blogs” that is just that: all the Blogs that I follow! So when you subscribe to an RSS feed for a blog to get up dates, you simply copy the link, click “add content”, select “add RSS feed” and Paste! And Voila’ you now have a lovely update box on your page and your able to see if there is new information without jumping around the internet looking to see if people have posted to their pages!…and you never get behind or miss good posts!
I cannot tell you how much time I am now saving! Tons! It’s so easy and organized! And I never feel out of the loop because it’s so easy to stay up to date =) Lovely! Now I have time to post on my own blog too, Yay!

It’s so comforting to know that if my computer crashed tomorrow I won’t be lost and wandering aimlessly wondering what to do… peace of mind, and organized.
